چکیده

Practical planning systems for real-world environments imply a striking challenge, because the planning and visualization techniques available are not that straightforwardly applicable. Skeletal plans are an e ective way to reuse existing domain-speci c procedural knowledge, but leave room for execution-time exibility. However, the basic concepts of skeletal plans are not suÆcient in our medical domain. First, the temporal dimensions and variability of plans have to be modelled explicitly. Second, the compositions and the interdependencies of di erent plans are not lucid to medical domain experts. The aim of our paper is to overcome these limitations and to present an intuitive user interface to the plan-representation language Asbru. We explored di erent representations and developed a powerful plan visualization, called AsbruView. AsbruView consists of two views, rst, a topological view, which utilizes the metaphor graphics of \running tracks" and \traÆc" and, second, a temporal view, which utilizes the idea of LifeLines.

AsbruView: Visualization of Time-Oriented, Skeletal Plans

Skeletal plans are a powerful way to reuse existing domainspecific procedural knowledge. The main drawbacks are that the compositions and the interdependencies of different skeletal plans and their components are not lucid. The aim of this paper is to overcome these limitations and to present the visualization of time-oriented, skeletal plans. Within the Asgaard project, we have developed a tim...

Using SecureBPMN for Modelling Security-Aware Service Compositions

Today, many systems are built by orchestrating existing services, custom developed services, as well as interaction with users. These orchestrations, also called composition plans, are often described using high-level modelling languages that allow for simplifying 1) the implementation of systems by using generic execution engines and 2) the adaption of deployed systems to changing business nee...

Visualization Techniques for Time-Oriented, Skeletal Plans in Medical Therapy Planning

In order to utilize elaborate tools and techniques (like verication) for use with clinical protocols, these must be represented in an appropriate way. Protocols are typically represented by means of formal languages (e.g., Asbru), which are very hard to understand for medical experts and lead to many problems in practical use. Therefore, a powerful user interface is needed. We identify the key ...

A Collaborative Development Environment for Design-Oriented Critiquing Systems

Design–oriented critiquing systems have successfully demonstrated their capability to aid users in designing artifacts. They can be seen as personal assistants helping to reflect on a particular design and to improve it. For doing so, design–oriented critiquing systems make knowledge and expertise of domain experts available to end users of authoring tools. Unfortunately, it is a quite demandin...

Visualization of Clinical Protocols

We developed a time-oriented, skeletal plan-representation language called Asbru [1] used to represent clinical protocols. It is a modeling language which supports both the design and the execution of skeletal plans by a human executing agent other than the original plan designer. During the design phase, Asbru allows to express durative actions and plans caused by durative states of an observe...
